Normally, when you minimize an app in Windows, it simply goes to the icon in your taskbar and that’s it. On a Mac, it doesn’t go to the icon by default. Instead, another icon is added to the right side of the dock.
Open the Stocks app
In the Home folder, open the Library Folder In here open the Preferences folder and look for the files called com.apple.dock.db com.apple.dock.plist Drag both (there may only be one) to the Trash. Close the winodw(s) and restart the Mac. Let me know, Mike.

View stocks in Notification Center
For a quick look at the stock market, check the Stocks widgets in Notification Center on your Mac.
- Google google drive app mac. On your Mac, click the date and time in the menu bar, then scroll to see the Stocks widgets.
- To open the Stocks app, click anywhere in a Stocks widget.
